Let’s Talk about Kath
I first used my voice as a singer, especially in churches – where the meaning behind the words matters. A few years ago a friend who produces videos asked me to record a voiceover for one of her projects. I was hooked. I loved being able to use my voice to tell a story.
One thing I especially value is the creative piece—the connection with a client and the chance to bring their story to life. I am a thoughtful listener and work hard to get the details right. This takes a solo job—recording in my home studio—and turns it into a collaborative effort.
I am also a passionate, gifted teacher, eager to help new artists learn the trade. I facilitate peer groups and offer private coaching.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW?
Much of my time as an adult has been devoted to mentoring and teaching others. It feels perfectly natural for this to carry over to my voice over work as well. Facilitating peer groups and offering guidance to those looking to get into voice over is something that I deeply enjoy. Voice over coaching gives me the opportunity to help others sharpen their skills and grow in their voice acting career.
