Wholeheartedness
Coaching
You Are Already Whole.
You are an exquisite, colorful, messy, sacred beautiful being. You’ve always been this way. Even if you don’t see it, or life is too exhausting, it’s still true.
The mission of Wholeheartedness Coaching is to help you listen, notice, relate, and reflect your body’s intelligence and humor to witness, believe, experience and trust these authentic parts and begin to exhale.
This work has given me the profound gift of trusting myself. That in turn has offered me greater ease in patterns I was convinced were stuck, clarity around boundaries, and confidence. Now, I find great joy in helping people who are seeking that same internal trust. I hope this step you’re taking is a significant one towards your own healing guiding light.

Once Upon a Time
Years ago, in a land not too far from here, there was a child gifted with imagination, silliness, and starlight. Like all children, this child was shiny & bright.
But one day when the child was alone, a scary thing happened. The scary thing was confusing and nobody was around help make sense of it or comfort the child. The child was left to their own devices.
To protect the child from any chance of further harm, the child’s body took charge and slowed their energy down, just a little, to keep them safe.
Some problems began. The child began having trouble sleeping. They got headaches and stomach aches frequently even though no one could find what was wrong. Sometimes, because the body was so tired of keeping alert, the body had panic attacks. These panic attacks were even more scary.
The child started to believe something was wrong with them, and stopped trusting themselves.
When the child grew, a wise and gentle healer appeared. This kind healer stayed still and calm and helped the child relax. The stress response cycle that had been so overactive started to settle. Their life force to begin to flow again.
Wonderful things began to happen. Many of the problems like panic attacks, sleeping, and body pain that had seemed impossible to fix, started to improve. The child’s mind began to calm too, and they were able to see how the beauty others saw in them were right there all along.
What is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic experiencing therapy is unique from talk therapy and is particularly transformative when working with trauma, anxiety or depression. The basic application of this model involves closely paying attention to the body’s messages (sensations like tightening, opening, hot cold, temperature, etc) to lead the person back into a a state of more ease and settling.
I invite clients to notice sensations. Together, we pay attention to how the body naturally moves to complete protective responses that had previously been stuck. Unresolved movement related to fight, flight, freeze and fawning, can cause a host of symptoms like depression, anxiety, disconnection in relationships, or pain.
While I’m noticing the description of events causing concerns I am also deeply attending to the small almost invisible gestures coming from the body. It is from these gestures we learn what the body needs to repair.
During a meeting, no specific content needs to arise for the work to be beneficial. One of the goals of our time is to help each person expand their awareness of their body sensations, understand that these waves are natural, and part of the healing process. Plus, everyone eventually can learn to practice them without guidance.

ABOUT KATH
About Kath
I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, or SEP. Somatic Experiencing is a beautiful, tried and true, wise healing approach & has positively impacted my life. SE was developed over 40 years ago to help people digest unprocessed trauma in their body. As you’ll see, when the body repairs, the mind follows. You can learn more about SE here.
The clients who work with me are: courageously seeking personal growth, curious and deep listeners, looking to lean into support, kindness and witnessing instead of ploughing ahead alone. These are people who seek repair when there is rupture, set boundaries instead of blaming. We are each exquisite, messy, powerful, and complicated, and seek feedback to stay humble.
My gentle practice seeks to match the tempo of the healing body. It is my highest goal to help you find your truest most divine self, safety in your body, and express your authenticity unapologetically.
The tools I will show you emphasize: listening to the messages your body is sending, making sense of them, and learning to relate to those messages with kindness, softness and patience. I’ll also show you how to find where ease lives in you so you can access that support when there is also tightness.
Listening, building curiosity, learning & relating to your body can metabolize stuck energy. This alchemy loosens constriction & creates more self trust. It softens rigid thinking, allowing access to more safety in us so we don’t need it outside of ourselves. Gives us keener clarity around boundaries, shifting imposter syndrome & performance worries, softening muscles & fascia creating less pain, reducing insomnia, increasing digestion……
